전 주 월 한국군 사령관 고 채명신 장군의 3주기 추도식이 월남전 참전자 회 주관으로 2016년 11월 25일 오전 11시에 서울 현충원 현충관에서 엄숙히 거행되었습니다. 추도식에는 미망인 문정인 여사님과 유족 그리고 전 재향군인회장 예비역 대장 박세환 장군, 전 육군 참모총장 권오성 예비역 육군대장, 현 수도방위 사령관 구호모 육군 중장, 서울지방 보훈청장, 내외귀빈 및 각 지역 월남전 참전 노병들이 참석하였습니다. 추도식 참석자들은 고 채명신 장군께서 생전에 조국방위와 번영을 위해 헌신하신 영웅적 업적을 다시 한 번 가슴 깊이 기리며 애도하였습니다.

The third anniversary of the memorial service of the late ROKFV commander-in-chief, retired LTG Chae, Myung-shin was solemnly held at the Memorial Hall of the Seoul National Cemetery at 11:00 on November 25, 2016. The memorial service ceremony was sponsored by the Association of the Vietnam Veterans of Korea and attended by the bereaved family members including widow Madam Moon Jung-in, former chairman of the Korea Veterans’ Association, retire general Park Se-hwan, former Army chief of staff, Kwon Oh-sung, incumbent commander of the Capital Defense Command, LTG Koo Ho-mo, Director of the Seoul Regional Office of Patriots & Veterans Affairs and hundreds of Vietnam War veterans.

During the memorial service ceremony all of the attendees including hundreds of aged veterans mourned the great general again by remembering, honoring and paying gratitude to the late hero who had greatly devoted his entire life to the national defense and prosperity with ultimate sacrifice that has enabled us to live in freedom and peace today.
